More intervals please

Another real solid week, thank the lord I had no more 40 minute intervals to do!

My week was mostly based around doing 8 X 10 minutes at > race speed (46-48 kph) with 3 minutes rest between. Works out to be 80 minutes of work, at over my race effort. This is a tuff workout, but I have to say it is easier for me than the 3 x 40 minutes!

The first time I did this workout it went well, i was a bit inconsistent though. One interval would be fast, next i would pay the price a bit, next i would go better, sort of expected as i was still figuring out what was doable for me. The second time I had a complete technological breakdown! Speed sensor was wonkier than ever and then my HR strap died! Workout went OK though, legs were tired from 2 days before but could get on with it. By the 3rd time I was tired, struggled to keep my HR up, where earlier in the week I was getting it to high. But I paced well, for the first time I was able to do all 8 intervals at over 300 watts, good pacing and solid day of training if I say so myself. Seems that I go good on Tuesday (after 2 days or rest), then OK on Thursday (tired but legs go good enough) and then by Saturday I am tired and the legs struggle to cut it. Here are the average power numbers for the intervals for the 3 sessions of doing this workout:
